Your Feelings Aren’t Reality…

"Your Feelings Ain't Reality... But, They're REALLY Good at Pretending!"

The Prophets of 👉?👈

Yep, they smooze in, dressed like prophets.

Screamin' truths through your nervous-system.

Demanding action... reaction, and devotion.

But, the thing is...

Most feelings don't reveal "REALITY."

They reveal what lies beyond the "LENS" you're looking through in that moment!

The Lenses We Live By...

Imagine putting on tinted sunglasses…

🟡Yellow tint → the world seems friendly, like it’s rooting for yah.
🔵Blue tint → everything looks distant, heavy, like hope took a sicky.
🔴Red tint → suddenly everything feels like danger Island, even silence.

But here's the kicker:

The world hasn't changed.

Only your filter has (Allow this to really sink in)

This is how our internal experience fools us.

Feelings mimic truth so well, you'd swear they were gospel.
They bring memory, mood, and meaning together in a seamless play... and we?

We buy front-row tickets.

Don't fret, it's not our fault.
Because we’re wired to feel first, think later.

But that doesn’t mean we have to be subservient to every emotional weather system blowing through.

The Spiral Illusion

You see, the Spiral isn’t just an idea about growth.
It’s also a reminder.

Your life's never JUST moving forward, it’s circling through states.

Highs, lows, clarity, confusion.
All part of the path.

And if you mistake a low mood for your identity?
You’ll start building permanent beliefs from temporary weather conditions.

Feeling unlovable doesn’t mean you are.
Or feeling attacked doesn’t mean they’re out to get you.
And feeling lost doesn’t mean you’re not exactly where the Spiral needs you to be.

Filters That Feel Like Facts...

We’ve been conditioned to treat our feelings as data.
As evidence.

"If I feel it, it must MEAN something."

But what if...

It doesn’t mean what you think it means?

What if that heavy chest wasn’t a warning… but a fog?
What if that sudden anger wasn’t clarity… but compression?

And WHAT IF... your greatest freedom came not from chasing better feelings… but from questioning their accuracy altogether?

Feelings Are Filters, NOT Gods...

They tint your perception, color your thoughts.
And warp your sense of time, memory, and meaning.

But just like sunglasses…

You can take 'em off.
And wait for the fog to lift.
Or you can learn to ask: “What’s the lens right now?”

It doesn’t mean ignoring your feelings.
It means disentangling from them just long enough to see clearly.

Because feelings aren’t facts.
But, they're fkin' good at acting like they are.

Problem

The Moment of Power...

The most powerful moment in the Spiral?
It’s not the breakthrough.
It’s the pause BEFORE reaction.

That’s the moment where you CHOOSE:

Will I act from the storm… or wait for the sky to clear?

That pause?

It’s sacred.
And where your agency lives.

In the Spiral Way, this is what we call the Checkpoint of Clarity.
A moment where you remember:

"Oh… this might just be a lens."

And the second you realize that?
You stop building cages from clouds.

Practise: Don't Believe Everything You Feel

So next time a big feeling crashes through the door, do this:

  1. Name it.
    "Ah, here's anger. Here's dread. Here's craving."
  2. Notice the story it's spinning.
    Is it past-based? Future-fearing? Identity-clutching?
  3. Ask the lens question.
"What filter might I be looking through?"
  4. Don’t act. Not yet.
Wait. Walk. Breathe. Sip something warm.
Let the system regulate before you respond.

Because your Spiral won’t punish you for pausing.
It’ll reward you with wisdom.

Final Spiral Truth...

You don’t need to escape your feelings.
You just need to see through them.

You don’t need to force clarity.
You just need to wait for the fog to lift.

Your feelings aren’t reality.
They’re just really good at pretending.

And when you remember that?
You don’t just survive the Spiral.

You dance through it.

Save this for the next time your mind starts yelling truths.
Sometimes, the loudest thoughts are just echoes in a foggy room.

Let the sun rise before you decide what anything means
