Short Story of an Ant...
Ever Feel Your Thoughts Are Holding You Back?
What if the ideas churning around in your noggin' weren't helping you get where you want in life?
Two researchers were watching an ant repeatedly climb up and down a blade of grass.
This behavior caught their attention because it was so unusual for a “normal” ant to act this way.
So…
The ant was taken into a laboratory where some high tech probes were injected into it’s brain.
After searching, they discovered a tiny parasite had attached itself and been secretly manipulating the ants movements
They discovered…
If the ant continued climbing to the top of the blade of grass, there would be FAR more chance of livestock eating the grass (with ant) and cheeky little parasite!
Increasing the chance of the parasites survival and propagation of its species.
The ant had no REAL control of it’s life, although on the outside it looked like it did.
Which made me think...
Are the thoughts in your head directing you up and down that blade of grass.
Or…
Can you ignore that little gremlin in your head, and wander FREELY - where ever the fk you want?
Remember...
The concepts and ideas in your head are NO good for navigating your way through life. So ignore them!
Write down what you want to do every day and just do it (no matter where the parasite tries to direct you)
But, don't take my word for it.
Go and see for yourself.
And you can thank me later...
Hi Dedo,
Your post “Mind Prison” is like a wake-up call for the brain! The analogy of the ant being controlled by a parasite is both hilarious and thought-provoking. It really puts into perspective how our own thoughts can lead us on a wild goose chase, doesn’t it?
Your approach to shaking off these mental parasites and embracing a life of action is both refreshing and motivating.
One thing I’m curious about: You mention writing down what you want to do every day and just doing it. Have you found any specific techniques or tools that help in sticking to this practice, especially on days when the ‘mental parasites’ are particularly noisy?
It’d be great to hear your take on maintaining this discipline amidst the chaos of our own minds.
Thank you for your work and sharing!
Warm regards,
Makhsud
Welcome back Makhsud!
And thanks for such positive feedback – you’re bang on about the wild goose chase shiz.
I could give you some advice for what works for me, but as you’re aware…
We’re all different and what works for one might not work for another.
I’ve found that I tend to work best after about 11am in the morning (takes a while for my brain to wake the fk up)
But others might love workin’ before the birds start chirpin’
Find what works for YOU and go for it.
You’ll know it when you find it!
BTW…
I don’t do “traditional” goal setting (makes me feel like I “should”)
Do what you REALLY want to do, and it becomes effortless.
It’s taken me a LOT of years to learn this. Hope it helps

As a fellow copywriter, I must say that this copy is amazing! I like the two comparative tables where you describe the now and after situations. I also enjoy the headline which enticing and wants me to know more. But when I read about the behavior in the body of your letter, I want to know more; but I don’t know what this is! Is it done on purpose?
Hey Angelce!
Great to have a fellow copywriter crituque my work (much appreciated)
All I can say is…
I’ve completely changed my stance as far as writing is concerned.
Learning to explain “problems” with symptoms is much better than the old shiz you hear online.
I mean…
We all want to lose a bit of weight.
But to explain to someone how, when I looked at my holiday photo, I couldn’t believe it was me in the picture.
Is far more convincing – right?
Also…
I didin’t do it on purpose (behavior in the body thang). I wanted to write a short punchy post.
A post that could have been a lot longer. But you know what?
I was happy with it.
Hope you come back for more Angelce.

Love the way you’re tackling the whole ‘mind prison’ thing! Using the ant story to show how our thoughts can control us is pretty clever.
You’ve got a great point about how we often get stuck in our heads, doubting ourselves and comparing our lives to others.
The idea of just writing down what you want to do and going for it is super straightforward and motivating. Keep pushing those positive vibes and encouraging people to break free from their mental barriers.
You’re onto something cool here! 🐜🧠👍
Hey bCloud09c (what the fk!)
I’ve heard some names before but that name seems like something out of star-wars, hahaha.
Are you friends with R2D2?
Anyways…
I’m sure it ain’t your real name, so no offence meant.
And thanks a bunch for stoppin’ by to leave your comment. I always appreciate eyeballs and brains.
Even when the brain’s been taken over by A.I.
But, before I go…
A little heads up for ya!
There are a small percentage of people who DON’T, and never have had problems with ants.
Can you guess who that group are?
Have a great day bCloud09c, it’s been emotional.
