"How To Get Everything You Want From Everything You've Got!"
First off the bat...
Realize what's stopping us from getting everything we want.
Only then can we open the door to the land of opportunity, freedom, and glory!
And, if you follow these ideas and press the "I Believe Button," I promise you...
It'll change your life FOREVER... for the better!
Now, there are hundreds (or maybe thousands) of techniques, ways, and methods for "fixing" your self...
- You take up religion, get philosophy, take seminars, tap yourself with EFT.
- You get your chakras balanced, try reflexology, acupuncture, get heated with lights and crystals.
- You meditate, chant, drink green tea, breath in fire and speak in tongues.
- You get centred, learn NLP, visualisations, study psychology, try psychedelics, get a psyche reading.
- You hang upside down, have colonics, get into nutrition and aerobics.
- You see your homeopath, chiropractor, naturopath...
- You try kinesiology, discover your Enneagram type, get your meridians balanced...
- Join a consciousness raising group, take tranquilizers, hormone shots, and cell salts...
- You learn astral projection, become a vegetarian, eat only cabbage, go organic...
Blah, blah blah...
I think you get the picture?
The fact is...
The very seeking of freedom causes notions of success and failure, which only bind us to our own self judgements.
Understand this...
There are NOT many paths to freedom... There's only ONE!
And It's NOT Out There My Friend
You're looking in the WRONG place.
It's closer than you think.
It's not your body...
your thoughts...
or your emotions!
Have you guessed yet?
Look to see what’s going on inside.
If you want to understand why you’ve done everything you have ever done, if you want to see what’s really going on...
Observe your mind and emotions—just experience your inner state.
If you objectively look, you'll see you're never completely at peace. You'll see you're not okay in there.
The constant drive to BE something, in an attempt to be OKAY.
You must seriously look at this process of trying to be okay. Because, you’ve been at it your entire life—you’ve just tried different things at different times.
While it’s true that sometimes you manage to make it better for short periods of time, you know you’ve never even come close to reaching a state of permanent peace and freedom.
Psssst, Over Here...
Watch very closely how you react to the things your mind has preferences about. And you'll see if your mind gets what it wants, you feel joy; if it doesn’t get what it wants, you feel disturbance.
Likewise, when your mind experiences what it doesn’t want, you feel disturbance, and when it avoids what it doesn’t want, you feel relief.
You'll never be okay playing this game because the world will never match the conceptual model your mind has made up. Eventually, you will come to see that struggling to be okay doesn't work.
At some point, you'll try to find a different way to be okay IN THERE.
Well, here's the BIG secret...
Become Detached!
Discover the glory of watching your body, emotions, actions, and feelings from afar.
There are so many books explaining this idea, seeming to add far too many ingredients (I mean, have you tried reading a 400 page book and retaining the information in it?)
Letting go, pre-supposes you're holding on to something...
So, that don't work to good, now does it?
It's much easier to sit back and realize YOU ain't your body.
Yes, it's yours...
but it isn't who you are.
And to prove a point (if you haven't pressed the "I Believe" button)
Go and look in a mirror...
do you recognize yourself?
what if you were horrifically disfigured...
Would you still know it's YOU by looking in the mirror?
I mean...
Other people wouldn't recognize you. But you'll always be YOU until the day your body gives up the ghost.
Same with your emotions, and feelings...
They're part of your past experience, but they're NOT YOU.
All you've got to do is dis-believe your "false" assumptions and realize who you really are.
It's all there, and you don't have to look anywhere else.
But, if you do...
Good luck, and tell me how you got on : )
I found your blog post on “Freedom” incredibly thought-provoking. Your exploration of freedom as a mindset rather than just a state of being resonates deeply. Have you encountered any specific practices or techniques that have helped you cultivate this mindset of freedom in your own life? Personally, I’ve found mindfulness and letting go of attachment to outcomes to be transformative in experiencing a sense of freedom.
Your emphasis on breaking free from societal expectations and norms is powerful. It’s inspiring to consider how embracing our individuality contributes to our personal freedom. How do you suggest someone navigate societal pressures while pursuing their version of freedom? I’d love to hear your insights on balancing societal expectations and personal liberation. Your perspective on this topic is refreshing and enlightening. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on such a profound concept!
Hey Pasindu!
Great to see you again, my friend.
And thanks for such an in-depth and exploratory comment (wow)
Thing is Pasindu…
I used to go all deep on this shit, but as time’s passed, I’ve realized things in life are a LOT simpler.
It’s US that makes it complicated (As you might have guessed in my post)
The fact is…
We’re the watchers, but identify with who we’re watching (I think it’s a cultural thing)
For example:
If you train yourself to “FEEL” the pain but NOT to “react” to it… you’ll find it’s just a feeling—no need to scream or cry.
Acting out like you used to when you were a little boy.
Thing is, we learn this stuff at a very young age… but rather than leave the baggage behind, we tend to bring it with us.
Life is “made” far more complicated than it really is.
And as for societal pressures…
Are you a Lion, or a Mouse?
Hi Dedo
Your article very interesting but not easy to understand. It talks about freedom. It actually asks a person to do something that would reveal his or her true self. It says you are not the body that you see. The body can be deformed or its form or structure can be changed. it says the real you is the spirit not the flesh. I might be wrong but that’s my understanding
Thank you for sharing
Richard
Hey Richard!
What a superstar…
And of course, YOU understand what you’ve just read.
But, here’s the thing…
When you learn to “GET OUT OF THE WAY,” meaning:
Stop thinking your thoughts are YOU.
(Watch them like a scientist would study his subject matter)
And…
Once you press the “I believe button,” it’ll be a cinch!
Believing that YOU are your thoughts and body is the only thing stopping you.
At the moment… your beliefs may be creating a barrier to the freedom that has always been within you.
The FREEDOM of choice!
The freedom to choose exactly how you’ll respond to every situation…
The freedom to choose NOT to be fearful…
Knowing you can do whatever you put your mind to…
Know you’re a champion in your own right. And much, much MORE.
In other words…
There are so many barriers to entry, and they all come from false assumptions about who you “might” think you are.
I hope this sheds some light on a subject written about for thousands of years ago, but only a very few live their lives like this. (about 1% 😉
Here’s a post you’ll find interesting > HERE
This is very very deep topic. Very spiritual. For thousands of years humans have mistaken who they truly are with the voice in their head. Or you could say they’re thinking mind. And they are trapped in that. True freedom is a state of presence and no thought. Have a good day.
Hey Jake!
You know it…
Hi there, I just had a long and in-depth read of your blog, and I really like it.
This is a real wake-up call for a lot of people…
In life, there’s a lot of stuff right in front of you that you don’t see.
People must pay much more attention to what they have before them, and they’ll prosper.
Instead of dreaming.
Thanks for sharing this
Hey Welf!
Kudos to you for taking the “DEEP” dive, my friend.
I say that because sometimes people tend to focus only on their impulses.
But, you didn’t…
You took time out from those “urges” and sat quietly to read my post (thankyou)
Hopefully…
You’ve gained some insight from reading those words.
Because…
The 1 minute it took you to read has taken me a lifetime to discover!
Have a great day, Welf; we’re always cheering you on…

I found this post very interesting, and I agree, Dedo.
If you do not have inner peace with yourself, you can’t be free.
You have to find serenity in the quiet spaces of your mind, where calmness becomes the canvas for a peaceful existence.
Many people suffer from severe mental illness in this modern time due to stress, financial burdens, etc, but when you have made peace with yourself and your situation, you will realize that you have a lighter weight to carry.
Hey Wanda!
Thanks for such a thoughtful response.
And as you’re aware, it’s easy to give these ideas lip service…
But to live life by ignoring the little voices in our heads can be quite a challenge.
What says you?
Because it’s not just the voices in our heads; it’s the millions of people who have similar issues and never get the opportunity to fully express themselves… living their lives to the full and reaching their potential
(Which is sad)
Anyway…
I’m glad you found this post useful, Wanda. Have a great day, and I hope to see you again soon!
Cheering for you…
