JUST FOR YOU!

"A Specially Crafted Sales Funnel Cheat Sheet - That Helps You Create, Promote, & Profit From Your Products"!

Don't just read this cheat sheet...

Use it to help plan your sales funnel - create products, and promote them.

Planning Your Sales Funnel

The first step is to plan your sales funnel using these steps and ideas...

  • Plan your entire sales funnel at the same time.
  • Make sure each product leads to the next product in your funnel.
  • Include a lead magnet, tripwire, core offer, and backend offer.
  • Embed calls to action in each of your products.
  • Create an onboarding sequence/follow-up for each product.
  • Segment your list based on what buyers have purchased.
  • Plan on adding additional products to your funnel over time.
  • Plan to test and track to see what your audience wants

Be aware of the purpose of each product in your funnel

  • Lead magnets turn leads into subscribers.
  • Tripwires turn browsers into buyers.
  • Core offers create repeat purchases and profit.
  • Backend Offers create additional purchases and profit.

Do Market Research To Discover What Your Audience Wants...

  • See what your audience is already buying on Amazon, ClickBank, JVZoo.
  • Search you competitors' sites to see what they're selling.
  • Check paid ads to see what your competitors are advertising
  • Use keyword tools to find out what your audience wants.
  • Read product reviews to gain insight into customers desires.
  • Check niche discussions to learn more about what your audience wants.
  • Survey your audience to learn more about what they want.

Crafting Your Products

The next step is to decide the format of your product...

  • E-books or reports
  • Courses
  • Membership sites
  • Videos
  • Audios
  • Checklists
  • Worksheets
  • Planners/calendars
  • Cheat sheets
  • Mind-maps
  • Lists
  • Apps
  • Coaching / consulting
  • (And similar)

Then Decide How You're Going To Create The Products...

  1. Do it yourself?
  2. Use PLR Content?
  3. Outsource to a freelancer?
  4. Utilize ChatGPT?
  5. Use some combination of the above?

Tips For Crafting A Valuable Product...

  • Design something that's better than existing products on the market.
  • Offer a unique benefit (USP or unique selling point) to stand out.
  • Provide actionable information, including quick wins.
  • Craft engaging content that keeps consumers interested.
  • Offer heaps of value to create satisfied customers.
  • Outline and research thoroughly to create something useful.
  • Create something "useful but incomplete" for your lead magnet and tripwire.
  • Select a compelling title for your products.
  • Get professional e-cover graphics created (Canva or Fiverr)
  • Get professional layout and design of the interior (Fiverr or Upwork)

Picking a Price & Designing an Offer

The next step of this process is to create offers based on your products...

  • Do market research to determine the regular price of your offer.
  • Consider whether to extend a special offer, such as introductory pricing
  • Plan on adding valuable bonuses to the package.
  • Outline a guarantee that's at least 30 days long and unconditional
  • Determine how to position the product in the market.
  • Compete on value, not on price.

From time to time, you may offer special pricing to generate sales - for example...

  • Coupon code discounts.
  • Flash sales.
  • Launch week special offers.
  • New customer deals
  • Matching credit offers.
  • Dime sales.
  • Fire sales.
  • "Scratch and dent" sales.
  • BOGO free offers.
  • BOGO at a discount offers.
  • Special bonus offers.
  • Holiday sales.

Create urgency by limiting your offers. Ideas...

  • The product itself is limited, such as only having X number of high-powered protein drinks available.
  • The bonus or pricing is time-limited. E.G., "For the next 3 days only..."
  • The bonus or pricing is quantity-limited. E.G., "For the next 100 customers only..."
  • There is a delay if the customer doesn't order now, such as coaching class

Advertising Your Offers

Next, you need to advertise your offers. So, consider the following...

  1. Drive cold traffic to your lead page to build your list.
  2. Send follow-up emails to close the sale.
  3. Embed links in all your products.
  4. Create useful but incomplete presell content.
  5. Do guest blogging to generate targeted traffic.
  6. Interact on social media to drive traffic and build relationships
  7. Do guest speaking spots online and offline.
  8. Get interviewed by notable others in your niche.
  9. Start an affiliate program
  10. Do joint venture marketing to generate traffic.
  11. Place paid ads (social ads, search ads, niche ads).
  12. Distribute press releases to generate publicity.
  13. Create and distribute viral content.
  14. Run a contest to build your list of prospects.

Special notes for JV marketing and affiliate programs...

  • Research potential partners before approaching them.
  • Recruit top partners directly
  • Build relationships before proposing JVs.
  • Do small JV first then ask for larger JV activites.
  • Ask existing partners to introduce you to their partners.
  • Build relationships offline (such as niche events) if possible.
  • Create copy-and-paste re-brandable content for partners.

Test and Track Campaigns to Improve Response. Focus on...

  • Sales letter headlines and sub-headlines.
  • Lead page headlines and sub-heads.
  • Email subject lines.
  • The price of the product.
  • The title of the product.
  • The ad venue.
  • The ad audience (e.g., on Facebook).
  • Keywords you're using to attract traffic.
  • The calls to action on all content.
  • The overall design of landing pages.
  • The e-cover graphic products.
  • The positioning of the product.
  • The bulleted list of benefits on sales pages.
  • The timing for when you place ads or send emails.
So, there you have it...

And if you invest some time and energy planning your sales funnel using these steps, tips and ideas -  you'll have a successful and profitable funnel that'll take care of you for a very long time!

  • Wow, you have certainly thought of everything. The hardest part now is deciding what to sell and designing a good funnel. I think that takes practice and the more you do it the better you get at it.

It also requires a lot of testing, and if you test it enough and tweak it accordingly you will eventually find the winning formula. What do you use to design your sales funnel, and do you do this with only your own products or products from other people?

    • Absolutely Michel!

You’ve hit the nail on the head. Crafting a winning sales funnel is like putting together a deliciously irresistible  recipe – it takes time, practice, and a little dash of creativity.

The beauty of this journey is…

it’s a dynamic kaleidoscopic process, full of twists and turns.

And you’re spot on about the need for testing and tweaking. It really is where the magic happens!  The more you fine-tune your funnel, the closer you get to that winning formula.

      Also…

Even though I use the term “funnel” – personally I like to think of it as a journey for your prospect (funnels are a bit less personal IMO)

As for tools, there’s a treasure trove out there! Many marketers use platforms like ClickFunnels, Leadpages, or even custom WordPress setups.

The key is finding what suits your unique style and goals (and of course the goals of your audience..

And when it comes to what you’re selling, it’s a bit of a mix, isn’t it?

Your own products have that personal touch, but affiliate marketing can also be a game-changer. Diversifying your product line-up can give your funnel more flavor.

In the end, the world of sales funnels is like a dynamic “personal” dance – one part strategy, one part creativity, and a whole lot of learning along the way.

So keep that passion and enthusiasm going because you’re on the right track to success my friend.

      Always in your corner…

Regarding your question on embedding links into products…

We recommend using platforms like Amazon Associates, ShareASale, or even specialized tools like Bitly for shortening and tracking links. The key is to use a link that reflects your product and is easily shareable.

Your interest in starting an affiliate program is a fantastic idea! It’s an excellent way to expand your reach and grow your business. Remember, it’s all about finding the right partners who align with your brand, product, and philosophy.
