The Right Time?

Serendipitous Timing… WOOOO!

It was Christmas eve night…
Friends and family were all gathered

The dinner table was set,

Music was playin’… and laughter filled the air,
(Ohhh - the sweet smell of roast tatees and turkey)

John my bro’ started regaling us

With some of his adventures abroad.

One story specifically caught our attention

About a little dog he’d befriended called Jackson…

Jackson's parents were taken away from him when he was a puppy.

And he’d been placed in four different homes.

Twice, he's been abandoned by the side of the road.

Only seven pounds with huge black ears and a bowlegged
gate.

Plus, he has a slight overbite.

You'd never have guessed from Jackson's sad upbringing that today strides a
confident, smiling, always tail wagging dog.

He strides purposefully, fearlessly, greeting even the biggest
dogs.

But despite Jackson’s challenges there was one thing that made John chuckle…

Jackson’s farts could wipe out an entire village!

And just as he got to that part of the story…

Rudie, our pooch slipped out an extinction event!

But instead of scolding her, we all laughed like maniacs.

John and Rudie timed the punchline with precision.

Without any prep’

So, go out there and get stuck in…

Overthinkin’ can restrict, limit, and steal dreams

There’s no telling what will happen unless you just go for it!

Rudie did.

  • Humor is finding those things in life that are true to life experiences with a little exaggeration.  The Story “It was Christmas Eve night…” Struck the balance well.  I enjoyed the story and found a smile un my face multiple times as I read through the story.  Thank you for sharing!

  • Hey, you make a great point here which is that you have to go after what you want. As in if you don’t go after it you won’t get it. Life is a battle but those who win are the ones that fight.   That really is life, of course many get lucky breaks, but many don’t and the universe doesn’t care so it’s up to you.
